What data does Chairlog store?
Chairlog stores the information you enter — client names, dates, service, tip and product amounts, revenue goals and settings — in a database on your device. This data is not sent to Chairlog’s developer.
iCloud backup
If you are signed in to iCloud, Chairlog can keep a backup copy of your data in your private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit). That copy is stored by Apple under your Apple ID; we cannot access it. You can turn iCloud off for Chairlog in iOS Settings.
Calendar
If you allow it, Chairlog reads your calendar events (read-only) to show today’s appointments and recent days as suggested clients. Calendar data is processed on your device only, is never written to, and is never sent to us.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Chairlog schedules local reminders on your device (for example, at 8:00 PM). No push-notification account or tracking is involved.
Usage analytics
Chairlog uses TelemetryDeck to understand how the app is used. TelemetryDeck receives anonymous events such as “screen opened”, the app version, whether Pro is active, the selected currency and counts such as the number of clients logged in a day. It never receives client names, amounts, notes or calendar details. TelemetryDeck uses a hashed, anonymized identifier and does not track you across apps or websites.
Purchases
Chairlog Pro is sold through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes the payment; we receive no payment or card details.
Email and feedback
If you email us or send feedback from the app, we receive your email address and whatever you write, plus the app version and device information included in the feedback template. We use it only to reply and improve Chairlog, and delete it on request.
This website
This website uses Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand which pages are visited and how visitors find us. It is off until you accept it in the cookie banner. If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies and receives your IP address, browser and device details, and the pages you view. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. We do not use it for advertising, and advertising storage stays denied. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer, or opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage. The Chairlog app itself does not use Google Analytics.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and diagnostics, typically for up to 30 days.
Your rights
Because your data is on your device, you control it: edit or delete entries in the app, export a backup, or delete the app to remove local data. To delete iCloud data, remove Chairlog’s data in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud. For any request (including GDPR requests), email hello@hairtechapp.com.
Children
Chairlog is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
We will update this page and its date when the policy changes.
